[ Format - Sound volume... Alt+Q ]
This slide control determines how much noise is present in the nominated sound recording.
The slider can be moved whilst listening to your sound recording (using the 'Play sound' button). If the sound has a lot of background hiss or hum, then move the slider to the left (less). If the sound is distorted or seems unnatural, then move the slider to the right (more).
Instant Demo uses a frequency analysis technique to create a 'noise profile' of your original sound recording. If you are unable to find a satisfactory sound quality using the Noise slider, then you may wish to create a new noise profile with a different level of noise detection. You can create a new noise profile using the 'Create noise profile' button.
Note: this option is only available if a noise profile exists for the nominated sound file.
